KFC Franchise, Hamilton, ON

Overview

With speed to re-opening the primary consideration to protect market share and minimize lost sales, modular construction was chosen due to NRB’s expedited timeline.

A new full-service restaurant with both a dine-in and drive-thru operations was needed for this site occupied by a dated building. In order to maximize interior seating space, a full basement was introduced to accommodate employee services, storage, and some extra equipment, which would have impeded on the amount of seating space available.

While NRB’s crews were taking down the old restaurant, work on custom modules for the new building were already underway at NRB’s production facility.

The exterior is comprised of brick, with the interior finishes identical to those used in their conventionally built stores. All cabinets, counters and planters, plus solid oak window frames and trim were pre-installed in our plant to minimize on-site time.
